Presentation of ECMO & HEMOPRO 2 at the 14th Conference of the Hellenic Society of Thoracic-Cardio-Vascular Surgeons

Santair participated in the 14th Panhellenic Conference of the Hellenic Society of Thoracic-Cardiac-Vascular Surgeons held on November 25 and 26, 2022.

As part of the Conference, the 13th Scientific Day of Extracorporeal Circulation Specialists was also organized during which our company presented to the participants the advanced CARDIOHELP heart-lung support system from Getinge, ideal for all medical cases that require extracorporeal circulation for cardiopulmonary support.

In addition, the medical delegates had the opportunity to see the Vasoview Hemopro2 system – Endoscopic removal of saphenous vein and carotid artery which has been used in 3 million operations worldwide!

Distinguished thoracic-cardiac surgeons from the Greek diaspora in foreign countries participated in the conference and interdisciplinarity is strengthened, since joint roundtables are organized with other scientific societies and with the participation of doctors from other specialties, such as cardiologists, pulmonologists, pathologists-oncologists, anesthesiologists and intensivists

The general spirit of the conference is “the established, the modern and the innovative coexist”, wanting in this way to emphasize that the above 3 components coexist harmoniously in modern Thoracic-Cardiac Surgery, without competing with each other. In the constantly changing landscape of our specialty, mainly as a result of technological developments, the indications for the application of the various approaches and techniques (open, minimally invasive access, robotic, etc.) are also changing, but ultimately all approaches retain their place in everyday life.
