Masimo O3 Regional Oximetry

The Masimo O3® Regional Oximetry Monitor is a patient connected device intended to monitor deep tissue hemoglobin oxygen saturation of blood (rSO2) including the cerebral region. Regional oximetry is a noninvasive technology. To arrive at these measurements, the device uses Near InfraRed Spectroscopy (NIRS). The monitor provides continuous display of two rSO2 channels. The current rSO2 measurement, baseline, and the difference between current rSO2 and user defined baseline are displayed. The AUC — Area Under the Curve index which quantifies the depth and duration of patient’s stay below user-defined rSO2 low alarm limit is also displayed.

Benefits

  • The system uses 4 different wavelengths (730/760/805/880 nm) providing a rSO2 absolute accuracy of 4% and trending accuracy of 3%
  • MOC-9 “plug-and-play” modules expand monitoring capabilities with additional measurement technologies such as Masimo SET® Measure-through Motion™ pulse oximetry, Total Hemoglobin (SpHb®), SedLine® brain function monitoring, and NomoLine® capnography.
