Santair participated in the 4th Congress of Point-Of-Care Diagnostic Testing
Santair participated in the 4th Congress of Point-Of-Care Diagnostic Testing which had as its central theme “Optimization of Treatment through the Use of Point- Of-Care Systems”.
At the Conference held on 18th & 19th of February, topics related to the use of point-of-care systems in various departments of a hospital such as ED, ICU, Primary Health Care as well as the use and clinical value of new biomarkers in critically ill and emergency patients.
Santair participated through a satellite lecture on “New biomarkers of peripheral tissue subduction and renal function: Clinical and prognostic value” given by Professor Ioannis Parissis (Professor of Emergency and Director of ED at GUH “ATTIKON”). Prof. Parissis mentioned in his lecture the relevant products of the Diagnostics department of Santair (Nexus IB10 System by Sphingotec).
His speech was attended online by 317 delegates. Prof. Parisis referred to the new biomarkers associated to sepsis, Acute Kidney Injury (AKI) and heart failure with very positive comments and pointed out the high prognostic and diagnostic value of these indicators. He also mentioned the correlation of these indicators with other products available by our company such as ECMO and mechanical respiratory support.
Santair, as the exclusive representative of SphingoTec GmbH for Greece and Cyprus, has in its portfolio the system and reagents for these biomarkers (bio-ADM sepsis, penKid AKI, DPP3 heart failure).
